Currently working on this: Lately I have moved my focus from acrylic paintings to start something excitingly new. I call it e-PAINT. From day one I love the old masters like Van Gogh, Renoir, Monet, Pissarro, Degas to name a few. The way they capture nature and portraits and scenes are astonishing. When I visit Paris I have to go to the Musee D'Orsay. So in this great tradition I started working out something new. With the technology of today you can do anything... Only limited by you own creating spirit (and mine is unlimited haha). So for the moment there are no art work of my acrylic paintings but I will post them soon on this site again. What I like to do with e-PAINT is trying to push the envelope on today's paintings. To enter the digital world. I already did a lot of digital stuff with my photographs but this is a whole new world to explore. Digital painting is upcoming and does represent every expect of 'real' painting. Except for the dirty hands and close off course, I miss that haha. But every painting is done in the computer and all with one pen and a drawing board. What I do is that reflections. Let me explain that. You can see it as digital sketches. But I take these reflections with a digital camera. I avoid to call them photo's because photography is an art form in it self. It's a final art piece. My reflections are not. They only help me with composition or color patterns. It's a newer way of sketching which I also use for the e-PAINT. Okay so let look at some Art! This serie are self portraits. It contains several emotional states and moments in human existence. What's so great about these pieces is that you can print them on canvas in any format you want. I also like some of my art project on walls this way all of the painting is digital without any paint used. The 'Clown' serie contains about 15 paintings and be aware that I have to shrink them a lot to keep the loading time decent. enjoy! |
